3 BEDROOMS, 3 BATH, STUNNING OCEAN VIEWS, HOT TUB, OPEN FLOOR PLAN!
When you open the door to Casanita, the first thing you will notice is the view. It is stunning! Casanita has an open floor plan so you can see the panoramic view of the mouth of Coral Bay as it opens to the ocean from Leduck island all the way to BVIs – Norman and Peter Island. The view is amazing from the kitchen, dining room, family room, all decks, hot tub and two bedrooms. That’s right! It has a hot tub! And did I mention, the entire house has AC?
The next thing your senses will detect is that you can hear the waves crashing against the shore of Friis Bay and feel the trade-wind breezes as you stand upon the generous deck. Casanita boasts 3 bedrooms each with ensuite and views. Rare for St John, the entrance only has 3 steps from the flat driveway to the front entrance. The main level has the living area, kitchen, and the primary suite making it a great choice for those with mobility issues. Another rarity is interior stairs (not spiral) to the other two bedrooms and laundry room. Each of the lower-level bedrooms has a queen bed and ensuite that are interior but have showers that feel like you are outdoor with full length views of the water. Each bedroom also has a private balcony to relax with a beverage or book.
If you can tear your eyes away from the view, you will start to admire the craftsmanship of the home. The main level has cathedral ceilings with stained cypress ceilings, a large dining room table that holds eight, a well-appointed kitchen with plenty of granite countertop space and soft close drawers, an island where the chef can cook and admire the view, and a spacious family room with plenty of comfortable seating. The primary bedroom has a beautiful 4 poster king bed with two large picture windows to watch the sunrise from the bed or blackout curtains if you prefer to sleep in. The large ensuite has an artist touch with the octopus penny tile mural in the shower.
Accessibility – While Casanita is not ADA compliant, many features of the villa are mobility issue friendly such as a flat driveway, only 3 steps to front door, first floor bedroom with en-suite, and 36″ doors.
Casanita is in Coral Bay, the “sleepy” side of the island, great for hikers, nature lovers, snorkelers and travelers seeking outdoor adventure. Coral Bay is famous for the down island views, wild donkeys, and traffic jams caused by goats and sheep. The town of Coral Bay has a handful of restaurants/bars, shops, and grocery stores/markets.
